In the most recent edition of our video series celebrating our membership with #SeeHer, Melissa Ferrara discusses her grandmother’s life as a young woman. Breaking stereotypes in the early 1940s, Melissa’s grandmother moved from Pennsylvania to Washington, D.C., to start a career as a switchboard operator. Melissa was inspired by her grandmother, and believes her persistence to become a lawyer has rooted from her grandmother’s independence and courageousness.
