International law firm Reed Smith LLP is delighted to announce that Vinay Ganga has joined the firm as a partner in its European Corporate department.

The appointment of Vinay demonstrates Reed Smith’s commitment to both providing high level advice to the financial services sector and to developing its firmwide practice in international projects and finance. Vinay’s recent transactions include: advising on the restructuring and sale of a major telecoms project in India; advising on one of the largest refinery projects in the world in Sri Lanka; advising on a petro chemical project in the Middle East and other related infrastructure work. It is expected that most of Vinay’s clients will follow him to Reed Smith.

Vinay’s arrival follows hot on the heels of international projects partner Sanjoy Bose who recently joined Reed Smith’s Washington DC office from Akin Gump. Bose has extensive experience in representing lenders and borrowers in the development and financing of large and capital-intensive energy and infrastructure projects.

Commenting on the appointment, Tim Foster, UK Managing Partner of Reed Smith said:

"I am delighted to welcome Vinay to the partnership. There are clear synergies with his practice and skills and with the firm’s ambitions to grow in its international finance practice, both in the UK and in the US."

Vinay Ganga added:

"Reed Smith’s desire to expand internationally and build its international projects practice is a very attractive platform for me. I am looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead."

This hire is yet another in a series of recent appointments – Marcus Rutherford (ex Kendall Freeman) to the UK Litigation team and Richard Perkins (ex Denton Wilde Sapte) and Lesley Webber (ex Beachcroft Wansbrough) to the UK real estate team.
