Liyun Huang is a member of the Life Science Health Industry group based in the Chicago office, and she is also a nurse practitioner. Her practice focuses on a range of regulatory, compliance, transactional, and product liability matters. In all her matters, she draws on her background as a nurse practitioner – first with the largest multi-specialty, physician-directed medical group in the Midwest and then as a clinical manager at a specialty pharmacy – to provide her clients with a real-world perspective.
Her transactional, regulatory and compliance work includes legal advice and counseling with respect to FDA and DEA regulation evaluations, data privacy and security risk assessments, fraud and abuse risk identifications, CPOM applications, licensure analyses, reimbursement considerations, digital health engagement, non-physician practitioner scope of practice analysis, and other applicable federal and state regulatory reviews.
Liyun also has product liability experience on the defense of pharmaceutical, life science, and medical device companies.
During her time in law school, Liyun was a member of the Chicago-Kent College of Law Moot Court, APALSA, and was a recipient of the Women’s Bar Foundation of Illinois’ 2022 Scholarship and the CALI Award in Remedies (for the highest grade in class). She also served as an intern for the Honorable John R. Blakey and at Lurie Children’s Hospital.
