Isabella is an associate in Reed Smith’s Energy & Natural Resources Group. She focuses her practice on international dispute resolution, with particular emphasis on complex energy matters and cross-border disputes. Fluent in Spanish and English, and with a strong background in both civil and common law systems, she offers clients a versatile legal perspective. Before joining Reed Smith, Isabella worked in international arbitration at a recognized Colombian law firm.
Isabella has experience with international arbitrations under various institutional arbitral rules, including but not limited to the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR) and the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).
Isabella is an LL.M. graduate of New York University School of Law, where she served as a student advocate at the International Transactions Clinic. Her academic excellence was recognized with the White & Case Award in Law & Social Entrepreneurship, as well as the Dean’s Graduate Award. Isabella received her law degree from Universidad de los Andes, where she participated in the ELSA moot court competition and served as a teaching assistant on both public and private international law courses.
