Ellen’s practice focuses on health care regulatory, compliance, and transactional matters for health care providers and suppliers (such as physician practices, behavioral health providers, home health and home care agencies, and DMEPOS suppliers), and private equity funds and other health industry-focused investors.

She provides guidance on state and federal fraud and abuse laws (including the Stark Law and the Anti-Kickback Statute), fee-splitting and corporate practice of medicine considerations, professional and facility licensing issues, and federal health care program participation and reimbursement matters. Ellen’s practice also involves representing buyers and sellers in transactions involving life sciences and health care companies, including assisting with drafting and negotiating transaction documents and completing regulatory due diligence.
