LONDON - Global law firm Reed Smith has advised IAT Leasing on its first transaction on behalf of funds managed by Taconic Capital Advisors.

IAT is a Dublin-based independently owned operating leasing platform that sources and manages commercial aircraft on behalf of investors. The lessor purchased two Boeing 737-800 aircraft on operating leases with Air Europa. The aircraft were previously owned by Chishima Real Estate and managed by Itochu Corporation.

Taconic Capital is a global alternative investment manager that specializes in finding opportunity in market complexity, dislocation and inefficiency.

The Reed Smith team that acted as acquisition lead counsel to IAT and Taconic, was led by Transportation Industry Group partner Christopher Jackson, and supported by associate Matthew Knowles.
