The firm's nomination is based on its role as lead counsel for GlobalData Plc on its partnership with PE house Inflexion, under which Inflexion acquired a 40% stake in GlobalData's healthcare division for £434 million, valuing the division at £1.1 billion. The deal was complex and innovative, involving a carve-out of the healthcare business into a parallel corporate structure and the creation of a new management equity incentive plan. Reed Smith's team worked across multiple jurisdictions and disciplines to deliver a successful outcome for GlobalData.

Reed Smith also proudly announces that Jessica Tagg, an associate in its Pro Bono Team, has been shortlisted as a Rising Star at The British Legal Awards. Jessica coordinates the firm's pro bono work across Europe, the Middle East and Asia, and has established and supported international projects to end FGM, combat human trafficking, and end the death penalty.
