The 'Power 100' is the Times’s snapshot of the most influential business leaders in the region at this moment in time.

Early in 2021, Hazlewood became OMP of Reed Smith’s Pittsburgh office, which is the largest law firm office in the city and the region’s seventh-largest private company by revenue.

As OMP, Hazlewood has been pursuing: equitable treatment for all lawyers and personnel; the elevation of the firm’s position in the local community; the promotion of positive corporate citizenship; and the enhancement of the Pittsburgh office’s culture and communications.

Hazlewood joined Reed Smith in 2006. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation.

Hazlewood was a member of the Leadership Pittsburgh Class XXXIV; served a term on the firm’s Executive Committee, where he championed the concerns and interests of his firmwide colleagues; chaired Reed Smith’s Summer Associates Committee twice; and was selected as a Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellow, a prestigious professional program for diverse, high-potential attorneys.

Hazlewood’s principal community service commitment is mentoring junior lawyers at Reed Smith and other law firms across Pittsburgh, as well as local law students.

The Times praised Reed Smith for raising starting pay for new associates and for eliminating regional wage differences between cities.
