McGahee joins Reed Smith from Howard University School of Law, where he served as associate dean of student affairs and admissions. Over the course of his 20-year career, exclusively at Howard Law, McGahee created and implemented systems and strategies that resulted in over 3,000 lawyers, primarily from underrepresented communities, entering the legal profession.

McGahee will create and execute a world-class recruiting strategy focused on multi-level talent acquisition, from law school graduates entering the legal profession to senior-level lateral partner candidates. He will work closely with the firm’s Senior Management Team, other firm leaders, and clients to drive Reed Smith’s diversity hiring and retention efforts. McGahee will also advise executive leadership on talent acquisition aspects of the firm’s DEI strategy, innovating upon existing recruiting orthodoxies and collaborating with clients to effect positive change.
