Panel Description: Today, many people expect their employers to not only support mental health in the workplace but proactively take responsibility for it. A recent study showed that an overwhelming 67 percent of the professionals believe their employer is obligated to support their mental health and wellbeing at work, and 94 percent of employers agree with this notion. Thus, business leaders from managers to the C-suite are increasingly called upon to reassess how they handle employee mental wellbeing. In this panel, our experts will discuss the obligations of employers and why providing mental wellbeing support to their employees is crucial to the success of a business. Panelists will also share practical measures that employers can take to address these challenges head-on. It is increasingly evident that showing that we care about employee mental health is not just a business requirement - it is the right thing to do.
8:05 p.m. The Pledge: Attendees can pledge to integrate better mental health practices in their personal lives and in the workplace, provided during the discussion.
