Bhattacharyya, a London-based international commercial arbitration and litigation partner, is chair of Reed’s Smith’s India business team. This is the sixth consecutive year he has earned a place in this listing, having been featured in it every year since the list’s inception in 2019.

The International A-List is based on extensive research conducted by the India Business Law Journal and can be found on the publication’s website. To be included in the listing, lawyers “must have a profound understanding of India’s intricacies, the needs of Indian clients, and foster strong connections within the Indian legal community.”

Last year, Bhattacharyya was appointed to the Board of Advisors for the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) - International Arbitration and Mediation Centre, Hyderabad (IAMC) ADR Journal.

Reed Smith was included by India Business Law Journal as a ‘key player’ in a 2022 article that explored foreign law firms that are leading the field with their India offerings, noting that Reed Smith’s cross-practice India team “is a huge draw for clients.” India Business Law Journal regularly names Reed Smith as a top law firm for India-related work.
