Reducing carbon has been at the forefront of addressing the global challenge of climate change. Carbon capture, utilization, and sequestration (CCUS) is gaining traction in the U.S. as one of the means for companies to abate emissions from carbon-heavy industries. Meanwhile, exporters to the EU must tackle the challenge of complying with the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), which entered into force on October 1, and will impose a carbon levy on imports as of 2026.
