Mark is a trial-tested litigator in the firm’s Global Commercial Disputes group with first-hand experience in a wide range of commercial litigation. He represents both plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state courts, as well as in complex arbitration proceedings. Mark has significant experience in all aspects of pre-trial and trial litigation, including briefing and arguing complex motions; taking and defending fact witness, corporate designee, and expert depositions; and litigating claims for emergency and injunctive relief. Mark has tried bench and jury trials through verdict. Most recently, he first-chaired a federal jury trial resulting in a complete verdict and damages award in favor of his client.
Mark regularly works with and leads teams of litigators in various types of complex litigation, including insurance coverage, financial services, contract disputes, business and mass torts, deceptive trade practices/unfair competition, franchise disputes, and international arbitration. He has a particular focus on real estate litigation, financial services litigation, and domestic and international commercial litigation. Additionally, Mark maintains an active pro bono practice in which he represents Philadelphia area low-income individuals who face the uncertainty of litigation. He is the 2023 recipient of the prestigious MVP of VIP Award, given by Philadelphia’ leading pro bono legal services agency, Philadelphia VIP.
Prior to joining the firm, Mark spent several years as a high school chemistry and physics teacher at a New Jersey public high school. He now serves as an adjunct professor of law at Rutgers Law School in Camden, New Jersey.
