New AI technology has the potential to improve quality and efficiency in e-discovery and other litigation tasks, while simultaneously reducing costs. However, as we’ve seen in cases such as Mata v. Avianca, the rise of AI also opens up ethical traps. Recent bar ethics opinions introduce additional considerations into the mix.
