LONDON – London-based senior associate Olivia Grant of Reed Smith has been shortlisted in the Future Leader category at the Ethnicity Awards, the global law firm announced today.

Grant works on a broad range of financial transactions, including securitisations, real estate finance, funds finance and non-performing loans. She also serves as co-chair of Reed Smith’s Multicultural Network and as committee secretary for NOTICED, the UK’s first inter-firm diversity network working to make the legal sector representative, inclusive and accessible to all. In her role with the firm’s Multicultural Network, Grant is part of the team responsible for implementing Reed Smith’s Racial Equity Action Plan (REAP). The firm’s impactful REAP initiative was named winner of the Race Equality Initiative of the Year at the 2024 Women and Diversity in Law Awards.

Last year, Grant was part of the Reed Smith team that advised the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) on the establishment of a groundbreaking insurance and reinsurance facility that provides a swift and agile method to ensure that additional financial support for disaster victims be available when needed most.

Also in 2023, Grant was included in the EMpower Role Model Lists that showcase inspirational leaders paving the way to increased representation and inclusion in the workplace.

The Ethnicity Awards recognise inspirational people from ethnic minority backgrounds and those working tirelessly to improve the lives of ethnic minority groups in the UK. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony to be held on Thursday, 31 October in London.
